The device enables the conversion of a device-specific interface protocol (e.g., from testing devices from other manufacturers) to the communication protocol required by the GeoDESC PC software. This allows legacy devices to be integrated into the current GeoDESC laboratory software from GEOMATION GmbH. The protocol converter is installed in place of the RS232 connection cable between the PC and the testing machine.
