Triaxial testing, Uniaxial testing, Unidimensional compression tests, CBR-tests upgrading to a Direct Shear Tester
This universal and computer-controlled laboratory device is equipped with an electromechanical spindle drive for force and displacement-controlled experiments. It is used in soil mechanics to carry out unconfined compression tests according to DIN EN ISO 17892-7, unidimensional compression tests (consolidation tests) according to DIN EN ISO 17892-5, triaxial tests according to DIN EN ISO 17892-8/-9 and for CBR tests according to DIN EN 13286-47. When using a single shear box type SSD2 or SSD5, shear tests according to DIN EN ISO 17892-10 can be performed. The shear cells are placed in the center of the press table top in the same way as odometer or triaxial cells. The corresponding computer software GeoDESC links the load and shear axes accordingly In addition to the fully automatic PC control, the load frame can be operated directly by touch display with new, intuitive user guidance. All measurement and set values are shown on the display and any information and error messages that occur are visualized. The measuring range can be adapted to the respective measuring task or the test using exchangeable load sensors from 1 kN to 25 kN. Additional sensors such as Pressure transducers can be integrated into the control loop using a external analog input. It is possible to integrate these external sensors in the control loop.
