Automatic laboratory vane shear tester for determining the undrained shear strength of soils with a viscous to stiff consistency

Characterisitcs:

• Intuitive operation and easy handling with 4,3” touch screen with separate function keys and haptics
• high speed multi-core-system with bus coupling,  control loop with 1 ms sampling time
• precision electromechanical drive for generating the shear stress
• Robust construction with a very stiff measuring frame and height-adjustable measuring crossbeam
• Low-friction bearing of the entire vane drive, so that frictional forces, gear efficiency or bearing friction have no influence on the torque measurement
• separate measurement of the torques "right" and "left" by precision sensors made in Germany
• Tare function for torque measurement
• Vane assembly using a clamping device
• Large base plate to accommodate nozzles and other sample containers up to Ø 210 mm
• Practical quick-release device with one-hand operation for holding and fixing the sample container
• serial interface for PC-controlled testing with data logging; cyclic measurement data logging, displaying and transfering to Microsoft EXCEL for advanced evaluation purposes
